Inventory Move In / Move Out / Transfer

The "Inventory Move In, Move Out, Transfer" screen enables you to manage inventory movements.

This screen can be accessed via: "Procurement -> Inventory -> Inventory Move In, Move Out, Transfer".

The "General" Tab

The "Adjustment" Section

• The "Action" field enables you to select the action to be carried out ("In", "Out" or "Transfer"). The "Out" option is selected by default.
• The "Material" field is mandatory. This field enables you to select a material's code, using a list of values.
• The "Warehouse" field is mandatory. This field enables you to select one of the warehouses where the material is maintained in inventory. Please note that only warehouses that maintain the material in inventory are displayed in the drop-down list.
• The "Location" field is mandatory. This field enables you to select the material's location inside the warehouse. Please note that only locations associated to the selected warehouse are displayed in the drop-down list.
• The "Qty in Stock (Warehouse)" field displays, in read-only mode, the quantity in stock for the material, in the selected warehouse.
• The "Qty in Stock (Location)" field displays, in read-only mode, the quantity in stock for the material, in the selected location.
• The "Quantity" field is mandatory. This field enables you to update the inventory by indicating the number of units involved in the inventory move in, move out or transfer.
• The "Reason" field is mandatory. This field enables you to justify the inventory move in, move out or transfer.
• • When carrying out an inventory transfer, the "Transfer Between Warehouse/Location" reason is auto-selected and cannot be modified.

The "Transfer" Section

The "Transfer" section is available only when the "Transfer" action is selected.

• The "Warehouse" field is mandatory. This field enables you to select the destination warehouse. Please note that only warehouses maintaining the material in inventory are displayed in the drop-down list.
• • The selected warehouse in the "Transfer" section can be the same as the one in the "Adjustment" section. If applicable, the location must be different however.
• The "Location" field is mandatory. This field enables you to select the location inside the destination warehouse. Please note that only locations maintaining the material in inventory are displayed in the drop-down list.
• The "Qty in Stock (Warehouse)" field displays, in read-only mode, the quantity in stock for the material, in the destination warehouse.
• The "Qty in Stock (Location)" field displays, in read-only mode, the quantity in stock for the material, in the destination location.
