Creating a User Account

This topic describes the procedure for creating a user account. Please note that user accounts can only be created by users who can access the Administration module.
Procedure
- Go to "Administration -> Security -> User".
- Click the "New" button.
- Fill out all mandatory fields under the "General" tab.
User Code
The user code must include the first name's first 3 letters, the last name's first 3 letters and the day of birth. As an example, for a user named John Smith, who was born on January 20, his user name will be "jonsmi20".
Password
A temporary password must be granted following the account's creation (recommended). To do so, enter a password and check the "User must change password on next login" box prior to saving the user account.
The password must be a combination of letters and digits, and must include 8 or more characters.
Associating the User to a Group
Associating a user to a group enable the user to be granted a series or predefined access rights. In other words, the user's access rights are inherited from their associated user group.
Here is the procedure for associating a user to a group:
- Go to the "Branch and Group" tab and select the agency.
- From the left column, select the group the user will be associated to, and move the group to the right column, using the corresponding arrows.
- Click the "Save" button.
This procedure must be repeated for every branch the user is associated to.
Important Note
Permissions (add, modify, delete, etc.) are associated to the group rather than the user. Therefore, the user is granted their associated group's permissions.
The "Empl. Type" Tab
The "Empl. Type" tab enables you to enter information related to the user's employment. Among other things, you may enter the "Starting Work Date", the days off, the employment status as well as the work team the user is a part of.
The employment type can be used as a correspondence variable and in follow-ups, among other places.
The "Empl. Type" drop-down list can be configured in the Agent La liste déroulante "Type d'emploi" est pilotable (depuis la version 2.0) dans le module "Intervenant". Par ailleurs, les champs "Équipe de travail" et "Jumelé à l'employé" peuvent également être saisis dans le module "Intervenant".
Le type d'emploi doit être associé à l'utilisateur pour chaque organisme où celui-ci est présent.
À noter que le type d'emploi est requis pour l'assignation logement, au niveau du module Immobilier.
